It looks like gas prices in Ontario are going to spike this week, resulting in the highest prices in over 18 months.
On Tuesday, Dan McTeague, the president of Canadians for Affordable Energy, said parts of Ontario could see a gas hike by Thursday — it will be a three-cent hike per litre.
It will affect the regions of Toronto, Ottawa, Hamilton, London, Barrie, Niagara, Guelph, Peterborough, Kingston, Sudbury.

This means that some areas could see gas prices rise as high as 120.9 cents per litre.
According to McTeague, these will be the highest prices paid in over 18 months.
Back in December, he said that prices would increase in the coming years due to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s carbon tax and HST.
