Ontario’s Cheltenham Badlands now open for the season
Credit Valley Conservation has reopened The Cheltenham Badlands this week and reservations are now open for those wanting to visit.
The park, located in Caledon, Ontario, has a new reservation system put in place, in order to manage daily visitation, where visitors must now reserve the date and time slot they wish to make their visit, according to the CVC site.
Reservations are now available for those wanting to attend and in order to register, you must create a new member account to book online. These reservations are mandatory to ensure everyone’s safety.
Health measures are in effect where physical distancing is in place and in-park directional signage has been placed.
Visitors are asked to wear a mask, stay on trails, and stepping off to allow others to pass by.
If you plan to go in groups, only those 10 or less are allowed to be together and do not have to physically distance if they’re in the same social circle.
Once reservations become available to the public, you will be able to reserve a spot starting at 8 am and last booking at 5:20 pm for a 1.5-hour timeslot.
Each vehicle is $10 on the weekdays and $15 on the weekends and holidays. Those who are members come for free however still need to reserve online.
“Those that show up at the park without a reservation will be turned away. There are no exceptions to this rule,” states the site.
Trails are open and washrooms are available with some limitations.
