Toronto's One of a Kind Show cancels its spring event

In light of the City of Toronto’s recent cancellation of all major events through to July 1, the Spring One of a Kind (OOAK) Show has been called off.

Originally scheduled to take place March 25 to 29, and then postponed to run from June 18 to June 21, the spring run of the bi-annual celebration of independent makers will be going digital instead.

Leaning into the event’s underlying value of creativity, the team behind the OOAK show will begin offering “virtual” One of a Kind shows on Instagram next week.

The shows will be offered as a series, which means you’ll have several opportunities to tune in and share some love with independent creatives, despite not being able to support them in person at this time.

“The past few weeks have been very humbling for all of us at One Of A Kind,” the team shared in a note posted to Instagram.

“Words of encouragement have inspired us to forge ahead while kindness and understanding have given us hope to look forward to a time where we can celebrate and support the small but mighty business community in person, again.”

Tickets already purchased for the Spring 2020 OOAK Show will be honoured at the winter rendition of the event, scheduled for November 26 through to December 6.

If tickets for the winter event have already been purchased as well, this spring’s tickets will be honoured for the Spring 2021 show.
