The Old Spaghetti Factory is serving up exactly what the veg-heads ordered.

“Beyond Meat Spaghetti and Meatballs” is now on the menu at all the eatery’s Canadian locations.

Beyond Meat’s plant-based proteins were created to offer the experience of enjoying beef, but without any animals involved. The brand is vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free, contains no soy or GMO’s, and is a great source of protein.

To make the meatballs, Beyond Meat is hand-rolled daily in-restaurant with a signature blend of spices. The little bites of deliciousness are served over spaghetti with house-made Italian Marinara sauce.

The pasta can also be served gluten-free.

“We’re very excited to be able to offer the satisfying flavour of our traditional meatballs, with the added health benefits and environmental sustainability of plant-based protein. We believe that preparing them fresh, by hand, and in-house every day, makes all the difference in quality and taste.” said Michael Thompson, executive chef of The Old Spaghetti Factory Canada, in a release.

Going beyond the Beyond Meat option, the eatery has a variety of other vegan and vegetarian options on their menu. Perhaps the Spaghetti with Mushroom sauce intrigues you, or you’d like to go even heartier with Vegetarian Lasagna?

“Most dishes can be modified to be vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free. We feel that providing that flexibility to our guests with dietary restrictions is very important,” Thompson says.

At The Old Spaghetti Factory, every entrée includes Italian sourdough bread with whipped garlic and plain butter; minestrone soup or crisp green salad; spumoni ice cream; and hot tea or coffee.
