If you see, or hear, fighter jets in the skies this morning, there is no need to panic. NORAD fighter jets have a planned training above Toronto on Monday.

According to NORAD, the Royal Canadian Air Force CF-18 Hornet fighter jets will be in airspace over Toronto between 10 and 11:30 am.

While the aircraft will be at a high altitude, NORAD said the public may be able to see and hear them.

“This NORAD training event is not related in any way to the Government of Canada’s response to COVID-19,” they add.

NORAD routinely conducts exercises, which they say are carefully planned and closely controlled.
