A massive new fireworks competition is taking place this month in Niagara Falls.

According to Niagara Parks, it will be hosting Cascades of Fire: International Fireworks Competition, on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, running from November 9 to November 18.

“Taking place over six weekend evenings in November, fireworks teams from around the world will be presenting an 18-minute pyrotechnic display synchronized to music, as part of this upcoming international competition,” states a Parks release.

To close out the series, Team Canada will present an unforgettable finale display on Sunday, November 18.

Those visiting can tune into Star 102.5 FM to enjoy the corresponding music for each display or enjoy the broadcasted music.

Each fireworks display will take place at 9 pm and will be launched from the Upper Niagara River.

With a launch site located on the upper Niagara River, visitors will have plenty of options to choose from for viewing the displays, including Table Rock, Toronto Power Park and Kingsbridge Park.

In addition, during the second weekend of the fireworks competition (November 16 to 18), Niagara Parks will be presenting its annual Winter Market, in a new location – on the front lawn of Queen Victoria Place.

While experiencing the fireworks, visitors can stop by the outdoor Winter Market for a hot beverage and some holiday shopping at the traditional hand-made booths, where artisan vendors will be selling their products.
