Toronto cocktail bar transforms into pantry box project with delivery

While many Toronto restaurants have opted to offer takeout and delivery, one Queen West bar has opted to completely transform its operations amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mother, located 874 Queen Street West, has collaborated with Ration Food Lab, alongside local chefs and farms to provide high-quality pantry boxes, available for delivery or pick-up.

A browse through the new service’s website shows options ranging from acorn squash and asparagus to eggs and yogurt, and even the spot’s own sourdough bread.

Delivery is available Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, west to Mississauga, east to Scarborough and north to Highway 7.

Customers can also opt to retrieve their items from Mother. You can send an email to [email protected] to schedule a pick-up time, if that’s your preference.

The website asks for a minimum order of $40 and says that a service fee may be charged to requests coming in under that minimum.

Free delivery will be offered on orders over $100.
