An employee at a McDonald’s located in Mississauga has tested positive for COVID-19.

A spokesperson for the fast-food chain tells Daily Hive in an email that the team member worked from 7 am to 8 am on April 10 at the McDonald’s located at 3025 Clayhill Road.

The restaurant was immediately shut down for a thorough cleaning and will re-open once the direction has been given by local health authorities.

All staff who may have been in close contact with the employee have been asked to self-quarantine until further information is available, while guests who may have visited the restaurant on April 10 are being asked to take direction from Ontario Public Health experts.

The total number of recorded coronavirus cases in the province now sits at 10,010, including 514 deaths.
