Popular Vancouver sushi restaurant Minami opens in Toronto

All the way from the west coast to now the east! Minami, an elevated sushi experience, has opened a new restaurant in Toronto this month.

Minami Toronto now calls King Street home as it opened its first Toronto location, 225 King St West, marking the seventh across the country for Aburi Restaurants Canada.

“The wheels were already in motion for Minami to open before the pandemic. Even though we are faced with these challenges, it is crucial that we move forward and do our best – our team depends on it,” said Founder and CEO of Aburi Restaurants Canada, Seigo Nakamura.

“We are always ready to innovate and not just overcome obstacles – but come out stronger and succeed together.”

Aburi Restaurants Canada, the group behind the Minami name, is also behind known Toronto restaurants Miku on the waterfront, Aburi Hana in Yorkville, and TORA uptown.

In line with Toronto’s recent announcement on indoor dining, Minami Toronto will have a takeout and delivery menu available on Uber Eats, Ritual and Tock.
