McDonald’s Canada has announced that it is officially making some changes to their burgers.
The global fast-food chain publically committed to switching things up on September 26, aka the restaurant will be working towards no longer using cheese and Big Mac sauce with artificial preservatives in the “coming months.”
This change will affect McDonald’s classic burgers, which include the hamburger, cheeseburger, double cheeseburger, McDouble, Quarter Pounder with Cheese, Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese, Big Mac, and the Double Big Mac.
“We’ve been on a journey to remove artificial colours, flavours and preservatives from some of our ingredients, all while continuing to deliver great tasting food people trust,” says a statement from McDonald’s Canada.
The only remaining ingredient on the burgers that contain artificial preservatives will be the pickle.
McDonald’s also recently said that it is the first fast-food company in Canada to serve Canadian beef from certified sustainable farms and ranches, beginning with its Angus line-up.
