Masks are now mandatory everywhere in Toronto's Distillery District

People visiting Toronto’s historic Distillery District now need to wear a mask the entire time, both indoors and outdoors.

The only exception is when sitting down to eat or drink, the Distillery District announced on Instagram Thursday.

Masks are required in all of Toronto’s indoor public spaces, but the Distillery is taking that guidance a step further by requiring everyone to wear a mask outside on the cobblestone streets, even if they don’t plan on entering a store.

The Distillery also reminded guests not to form crowds in the festive downtown neighbourhood and to wash their hands frequently.

The annual Christmas market that usually happens in the Distillery District was cancelled this year because of COVID-19, but there’s still a massive Christmas tree for residents to admire.
