The Markham Christmas Tree Market opens this week

There are still ways to celebrate Christmas during the COVID-19 pandemic.

To many’s delight, The Markham Christmas Tree Market is happening, opening this week on November 20.

“We have three ways to buy a Christmas tree — online, drive-through and picking your ideal tree from the great selection on our lot,” Peter Gismondi from Superior Events Group said in a statement.

If you choose to pick your own tree at the lot, there are food trucks to keep visitors fed and a craft and vendor market to buy all your Christmas gifts. In addition, a merry-go-round and a train ride are available to be enjoyed by families.

It should be noted that strict coronavirus preventative protocols are in place, and masks are required for anyone on the lot. For the no-contact drive-through option, simply choose the size of the tree from six feet to 14 feet, and the tree is placed on, or in, the vehicle.

Online ordering and delivery is found at www.thechristmastreemarket.com.

The Markham Christmas Tree market is open on weekends from November 20 to December 24, 2020, at the Markham Fairgrounds, 10801 McCowan Road.

Hours: 10 am to 8 pm.
