Police are seeking witnesses after a man was found dead following a fire that occurred at a Vaughan home in Thursday’s early hours.
Shortly after 1 am on Thursday, York Regional Police report attending a residence on Retreat Boulevard and found smoke coming from the home.
Firefighters with the Vaughan Fire and Rescue Service entered the home and located an adult male who was deceased. They say that no one else was located in the residence.
Investigators with the Office of the Fire Marshal have attended the scene.
The investigation is currently ongoing.
Investigators will be canvassing the area for video surveillance, and they are requesting that anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious, or anyone who may have residential video surveillance in the area, to come forward.
