Toronto's Harry Potter bar opening Hogwarts-themed patio this Saturday (PHOTOS)
Dundas West Fest is on this Saturday, June 3 and for the occasion, The Lockhart is going all out.
Toronto’s Harry Potter bar is erecting a towering castle around a 60-seat street-side patio where brunch will be served from 10:30 am to 2 pm before the kitchen transitions into a festival menu.
Yes, that means a Hogwarts-themed patio will be in action on Saturday.
The massive structure is the work of BrunoSmoky, a visual artist who has produced colourful murals around the world including several in the Dundas West area.
The Lockhart owner Matt Laking shares with Daily Hive that he suggests people arrive early, “Should be a busy one!“

In addition to prime patio time, the festival will showcase local restaurants, clothing vendors, coffee shops, antiques, bars, and small stages.
Here’s hoping that this over-the-top-patio is the start of a beautiful new annual tradition that could distinguish the DuWest street festival as way cooler than all the rest. We’re thinking a neighbourly challenge to see who can create the biggest/craziest themed patios each year.
