Incredible shots of this weekend's fierce lightning storm in Toronto

Following a hot and extremely humid afternoon on Saturday, Toronto was hit by an intense thunderstorm.

As the evening descended, dark and ominous clouds did too, as the storm made its way into Toronto. The result, in addition to a slight lift in that heavy humidity, was a pretty epic lightning show.

While most of the city stayed indoors, a few brave souls managed to go outside and capture the storm in all its glory.
