Playoffs have barely started but famous Toronto Maple Leafs superfan has already lost his voice

One of the Toronto Maple Leafs’ loudest and most famous super fans will be a little quieter for the time being.
For anyone who’s spent time following the Leafs online over the past few years, they’ve likely come across a man better known as “Kurtis From Alberta.”
Living in Redcliff, Alberta — just west of Medicine Hat — Kurtis Stevenson has become a staple of the Leafs fan base for his fun-loving attitude, notable catchphrases, and one heck of a memorabilia collection.
Stevenson’s basement is one of the most impressive “man caves” you’ll ever see, decorated with dozens of game-worn jerseys and other pieces of Leafs memorabilia that he’s collected over the years.
Stevenson flew into Toronto for Game 1, but was back in his hometown for the team’s epic Game 2 overtime win against the Ottawa Senators earlier this week.
And while he was all hyped up for when the puck went in the net for Domi, Stevenson was a little bit more muted when he woke up the next morning.

“Two games into the playoffs, and my voice is gone. She gone,” Stevenson said. “I’m gonna have to take a couple days off and do some mime videos, and just smile and drink beer.”
Stevenson is often seen drinking and promoting the Clock Out beer from Edmonton-based SYC Brewing, which produced a “Kurtis From Alberta” edition of the beer to be shipped Canada-wide.
With puck drop just around the corner for Game 3 in the series, we can only hope that Stevenson’s had a few lozenges to quell his vocal issues.
