William Nylander has signed his fair share of endorsement deals during his time with the  Toronto Maple Leafs, but few are as black-and-white as his latest one.

Alongside NHL stars Quinn Hughes, Nick Suzuki, Zach Hyman, and PWHL stars in Sarah Nurse and Marie Philip-Poulin, Nylander was named this week as a part of Team OREO in the iconic cookie’s latest sports-related campaign.

“William Nylander’s family has kept hockey playful for generations,” a description for the campaign reads. “Growing up with brother Alex in Sweden and following Dad’s pro career across North America, Willy’s playful approach is still part of his game today.”

The campaign also includes a $200,000 donation of equipment to “help deserving hockey communities keep the joy of play alive” through 14 grants valued between $10,000 and $25,000.

“OREO believes in staying playful and the power of play,” a campaign release adds. “But for too many families across Canada, hockey feels out of reach. From the cost of equipment to limited access to ice time, there are hurdles that prevent many from joining the game we all love.”

In a video accompanying the campaign, the Leafs star visited a local hockey practice in order to give them news of the equipment grant.

“With anything you do, you always want to have fun,” Nylander said. “When I was a kid, hanging out with my dad, going to the rinks, meeting the players, it was always so much fun.”

In 44 games this season, Nylander has put up a team-high 24 goals while adding 20 assists.

Currently on an eight-year, $92 million deal that is the largest in Leafs history, Nylander has had his fair share of fun during his time in Toronto. At an average retail price of about $4 after taxes, Nylander could buy about 33,137,390 boxes of Oreos with that contract once you convert it to Canadian dollars.
