A Toronto LCBO employee has tested positive for COVID-19.

According to the LCBO, employers were notified on August 27 that an employee at the 2803 Dundas Street West location had tested positive for COVID-19

The employee had last worked in-store on August 13.

“The LCBO has several measures to keep employees and customers safe, including regular cleaning and sanitization and in-store measures that promote physical distancing,” said the liquor board.

“Public Health has not provided any directions or recommendations with respect to this location. This general notice is being provided out of transparency.”

LCBO mandated face coverings for customers since July 7.

Last week, a Food Basics employee in Oakville had tested positive for the virus as well, adding to the growing list of cases found in local grocery stores in and around Toronto.

Daily Hive has reached out to the LCBO for further comment.
