Regular subway service at King Station has resumed following a bomb threat Thursday afternoon.

According to police, officers received a threat Thursday afternoon, shortly after 3:30 pm and King Subway Station was evacuated.

While police investigated, Line 1 service between Bloor-Yonge and Union Station was stopped.

The TTC said regular service resumed just before 4 pm.

Anyone with information that may assist with this investigation is being asked to call police.

Meanwhile, Ottawa Police also reported this afternoon that it has has responded to multiple calls for service (10+) about bomb threats made via e-mail to local business and individuals in the Ottawa/Gatineau area, where the sender is demanding a bit coin payment.
