Earlier this week, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau met with Mayor John Tory to discuss how to tackle the city’s growing gun problem.
After Tuesday’s meeting, it appears the PM stuck around Toronto to enjoy some of our fine cuisine. And the food of choice for Trudeau was sushi.
In a photo shared on Wednesday by sushi restaurant Akira Back, Trudeau was photographed with the team behind some of downtown’s best sushi.
“It was an honour to host our Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for dinner last night. Thank you for joining us. Hope you dine with us again soon,” read the photo’s caption.
Chef Akira Back’s first Canadian namesake restaurant is located in Toronto’s Bisha Hotel at 80 Blue Jays Way.
