Toronto band to perform "Live At A Drive-In" concert this summer

Even though some businesses and outdoor recreational activities are slowly reopening, it will be a while until we are able to enjoy concerts again.

And with that thought, Toronto-based band July Talk got creative to throw together a new kind of live music experience.

The band announced they will be performing two live shows at a “Drive-In Movie Theatre” near Toronto on August 12 and 13.

“We’ve been working on this idea for some time now and it feels like it’s going to be a pretty special event,” said the band on a social media post. “The thought that we will be able to perform and feel your company again is just too much. We can’t contain our excitement.”

July Talk said they will be premiering unreleased music video, and play a full 90-minute live set where “the audio is broadcast onto your car radio and the drive-in screens play a live multi-camera feed.”

Due to the ever-changing nature of COVID-19 restrictions, the band will not be putting tickets on sale until closer to the event.

“We’re so excited we might just scream.”

July Talk says their Live At A Drive-In will proceed in compliance with government health and social distancing protocols.
