Jollibee delivers free food to frontline workers at GTA hospitals

Alongside being known for its mouthwatering fried chicken, Jollibee is known for spreading joy.

Which makes it no surprise that the fast-food chain decided to treat healthcare workers across the GTA with a double-whammy of free meals, and notes meant to inspire feelings of happiness.

Earlier this spring, Jollibee put out a call on social media for their customers to submit “notes of joy.”

These notes were to serve as a small gesture to show healthcare workers that their services are recognized and appreciated.

This month, the eatery compiled those notes and delivered them to those on the frontlines at hospitals across the GTA — and Canada — while dropping off free meals as well.

One of the locations the joint delivered to was Scarborough General Hospital, and the joy of the recipients was captured in a video Jollibee shared online.

As Torontonians continue to practice physical distancing and many are continuing to shelter at home, don’t forget: Jollibee is now offering delivery.

Which means you can bring a little extra joy into your day… and an order of hot dog-studded spaghetti, too.
