Get authentic game day hot dogs delivered to you for Blue Jays Opening Day

Baseball is officially back, which means fans will still get to see our boys in blue play this summer — even if only from the comfort of their couches.

And while we might be content to avoid long lines and transit in and out of downtown, there’s one quintessential part of game day that we’re definitely going to miss: stadium hot dogs. Imagine a hot-off-the-grill dog in a fluffy bun, drizzled in ketchup, mustard, and onions, ready to unwrap as you return to your seat — simply thinking about this iconic treat might cause you to start drooling.

To help fans recreate the stadium experience and savour the season we’ve been given, Heinz Ketchup is teaming up with DoorDash to deliver authentic game day dogs straight to fans’ seats (no matter where they are) for Opening Day, July 24, with pre-order starting July 22.

While the season may look, smell, and sound a bit different this year, it doesn’t have to taste different.

Ballpark hot dog/Daily Hive

The Heinz Game Day Dogs are wrapped in a bun and sealed inside traditional stadium warming foil. When you order via DoorDash, the hot dogs will also arrive at your door with all your favourite Heinz condiment options.

To complete the authentic baseball experience, Heinz has even created a Heinz Sounds of Baseball Spotify Playlist. Invite the gang over and stream the sounds of baseball — the cheers and chants of the crowd, the ambience of the stadium — while you watch the game at home.

Heinz and DoorDash will also be covering all the DoorDash Dashers’ service and delivery fees, meaning customers only pay for their dog plus tax — just as if they were in the stadium itself. All proceeds from Heinz Game Day Dogs will support Jays Care Foundation in helping to provide meals for families living in Toronto Community Housing.

Starting July 22, customers can pre-order their hot dogs on DoorDash for guaranteed delivery on July 24 via DoorDash’s desktop app. You can also order via the mobile app starting July 23 at 5 pm. Select super fans will also get their dog delivered by a hot dog vendor for the full concession experience.

Blue Jays official 2020 season starts on July 24 when they’ll play the first of a three-game series against Tampa Bay.
