The touring production of Hamilton is finally coming to Toronto, and it’ll make its Canadian debut this winter.

Mirvish Productions is bringing the hip-hop musical about the making of America to Toronto for a limited engagement as part of the 2019-20 Mirvish subscription season.

The broadway sensation will be taking over Toronto’s Ed Mirvish Theatre from February 11 through May 17, 2020, and tickets will be officially available on October 28, 2019.

Starting at 9 am, tickets will be available at the Ed Mirvish Theatre Box Office at 244 Victoria Street and online only, for all performance dates during the show’s run. Tickets will not be available by phone.

There is a maximum purchase limit of four tickets per household, and prices will range from $50 to $250 with a select number of $499 premium seats available for all performances.

There will also be a lottery for forty $10 seats for all performances. Lottery details will be announced closer to the engagement.

The musical first debuted on Broadway in 2015. Following “the story of America’s founding father, Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington’s right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and was the new nation’s first Treasury Secretary,” the show has since become a cult favourite.

You can sign up for Mirvish’s emails to be notified when priority tickets go on sale.
