Right across the street from Toronto’s newest hub for vegan dim sum, a hot new ramen spot has opened up shop.

Hakata Shoryuken is officially welcoming guests for the soft opening of their brand-new Queen West location.

Alongside bowls of authentic Hakata Tonktotsu ramen, this spot’s got mouthwatering karaage don, tofu nuggets, and chicken nanban on deck.

And when it comes to noodle bowls, you can count on classic toppings including chashu, black mushrooms, green onions, bean sprouts, and a perfectly-done egg.

Real ramen fans know that the way to effectively enjoy a bowl of this slurpy goodness is by ordering extra noodles, which you can add to the broth once you’ve worked through the first serving.

This spot gets that, and they’ve worked it into their menu. Opt for the ‘Kaedama’ option and you’ll get those extra noodles, easy peasy.

It may be springtime, but that doesn’t mean the cold has left Toronto just yet.

These rollercoaster temperatures are the perfect reason to tuck into something that’s always consistently delightful: ramen.
