Premier Doug Ford said that outdoor haircuts and fitness activities are being decided at cabinet tomorrow, but stressed the importance of still adhering to public health protocols.

On Tuesday, Ford said activities like having haircuts outside or pursuing fitness activities will be decided at cabinet tomorrow.

While the premier acknowledged the warmer weather, he stressed the importance of still maintaining distance from others, masking, and maintaining good hand hygiene.

“I can’t stress this enough, please we have to be cautious. Am I nervous about the third wave? Absolutely I am. It concerns me 24-7. So please folks, yes it’s great to be out and get fresh air but we have to be vigilant I can’t stress that enough, and make sure we follow the protocols from the Chief Medical Officer,” Ford said.

He added that it’s “absolutely critical we do this” and no one wants to go back to another lockdown.

On Saturday, patios were allowed to reopen in Toronto and Peel, both considered to be COVID-19 hotspots.

Cases have been high lately with Tuesday’s 1,546, Monday’s 1,699, Sunday’s 1,791,  and Saturday’s 1,829.
