More Toronto and GTA grocery stores have reported positive COVID-19 cases among staff as Ontario continues to see a spike in numbers.

Several Loblaws locations are reporting more positive cases over the past weekend.

On November 28, an employee at John’s No Frills, located at 6520 Derry Road in Milton, reported positive on a presumptive test for the virus. They had last worked on November 22.

On November 29, an employee at a Loblaws located at 858 Queen Street West in Toronto tested positive on a presumptive test. The last day they worked was November 23.

On November 30, an employee at Daniel’s No Frills, located 620 Eglinton Avenue West in Mississauga, tested positive on a presumptive test for COVID-19. The last day they worked was November 20.

Last week, over 20 separate locations across the GTA reported positive coronavirus cases.

“We will always contact and follow the guidance of Public Health to ensure the safety of our teammates and customers whenever we are made aware of a confirmed case of COVID-19 in one of our food stores or distribution centres,” reads Metro’s website.

In an effort for transparency, Loblaws regularly updates their coronavirus cases in stores by province within the last 15 days, as well as Sobey’s within 14 days.
