You can take a photo with The Grinch at Square One this month

In a fitting way to match the truly trying year of 2020, for those who aren’t really in the holiday spirit, you can find some solace with The Grinch.
If you’re not feeling the traditional cheerful holiday photos with the family, there’s now an alternative!
From the makers of The Dr. Seuss Experience comes the latest holiday offering from Who-ville called The Grinch’s Grotto, which is set to take place at Square One Shopping Centre from November 27, 2020, running through January 3, 2021.
The Grinch’s Grotto comes on the heels of the company’s recent collaboration of The Dr. Seuss Experience, “a first-of-its-kind immersive journey through the iconic author’s most famous books” that opened at Square One Centre last fall.
“Entertainment is an important part of what shopping centres offer communities. We’re bringing a one-of-a-kind experience the whole family can enjoy to Square One Shopping Centre,” Bradley Jones, Head of Retail, Oxford Properties, said in a statement.
“The Grinch’s Grotto delivers all the fun of this iconic Dr. Seuss tale in a socially distanced environment with scheduled entry times. Shopping centres are a big part of the holidays, and this themed installation combines entertainment and holiday photos in an exciting and innovative way.”
The event space will be set up to look exactly like the books with a Grinch stylized holiday tree and a backlit fireplace with hanging stockings.
Guests will also be allowed to pick a sign with their choice of a favourite 2020 slogan to be placed in their photo with the Grinch. Sample slogans include, “You’re a mean one, 2020” “2020: “Stink, Stank, Stunk,” “2020 – How The Grinch stole, well, the whole year” and some positive ones, including “The Grinch still can’t steal Christmas!”
Tickets for The Grinch’s Grotto will go on sale on November 12th.
