You can ride all GO transit for just $10 on Sundays (again)

GO Transit just delivered some exciting news.

Starting March 1, all GO Transit — except UP Express Trains — will offer $10 for unlimited travel on Sundays.

The decision was made after their popular $10 ‘Sunday Funday’ pilot, which launched from December 1, 2019 to February 9, 2020.

Anne Marie Aikins, Senior Media Manager at Metrolinx, first announced the news on Twitter on Thursday afternoon.

Her tweet said Metrolinx CEO Phil Vester delivered the “great news” about program due to the pilot program’s popularity.

“The pilot has been very well received by customers with ticket utilization growing steadily,” Aikins told Daily Hive.

According to Aikins, popular destinations have been Union Station, Niagara Falls, Exhibition and Aldershot stations, as well as popular bus destinations of Waterloo and Square One.

“The discount offer is a way to boost off-peak ridership,” Aikins said.

For complete convenience, an online pass can be emailed to you, on your smartphone.

Anyone over the age of 13 is eligible for the pass, while children under the age of 12 can ride for free.
