Something new and innovative is about to land in Toronto, and it’s bringing with it a feeling of nostalgia.

GarfieldEATS, an app and “entergaging” quick mobile restaurant, will be opening its doors in the city soon, according to Instagram.

While the exact location and opening date have yet to be announced, one of the restaurant’s founders shared a post that mentioned a downtown storefront and an April opening.

“A 100 years old historic building turned to a legendary pop icon brand new concept rolling out worldwide,” Nathen Mazri wrote on Instagram.

So you can expect to see this modern concept find home in a not-so-modern building.

In line with being “entergaging” (entertaining and engaging), the restaurant won’t have any cashiers. Instead, customers will be able to place their orders on mobile phones all around the store.

While waiting for the food to be prepared, guests can watch clips and play games on the devices, too. The concept is so compelling that even Jim Davis himself is behind it.

You can expect to find a plethora of comfort foods available at the new outpost, including the spot’s Garfield-shaped pizza.
