Jun 4 2019, 9:10 pm

Entrepreneurs and leaders in the gaming industry will have a chance to mingle and pick each other’s brains during an executive-only gaming conference happening in Toronto this Friday.

The conference, hosted by the Gaming Society, an organization dedicated to bring mainstream attention to esports (video-game competitions), is intended to form partnerships, and open the door for joint business ventures and investments in up-and-coming gaming companies.

It’s an opportunity for entrepreneurs to interact and learn from funded gaming companies and industry execs.

So far, such tentative programming includes panels about raising capital, the legal challenges of the industry, and even talks with pro-athletes Richard Nurse, who plays for the Edmonton Oilers, and former CFL player Darnell Nurse, about their love of esports.

The Gaming Society is owned by the The Tech Society, which hosts conferences intended to partner executives and entrepreneurs in various industries. It also owns organizations like The Cannabis Society and the Blockchain Society, among others.

You can get more information about the conference and buy tickets here.
