The GTA is getting a juicy Fried Chicken Festival this weekend
Prep your stretchy pants, because the GTA is going to be graced with a festival totally dedicated to fried chicken this weekend.
On September 28 and 29 2019, Mississauga’s Small Arms Inspection Building on Lakeshore East is going to be taken over by juicy fried chicken, both indoors and outdoors.
The Fried Chicken Fest brings together twenty fried chicken creatives under one roof, to take you on a culinary adventure in a world of sizzling, spicy, and hot indulgence.
Savor twice buttermilk soaked hot sauce Cajun strips, Taiwanese fried chicken stuffed into a bubble waffle, authentic Nashville hot chicken, Louisiana fried chicken smothered in cheese sauce served in a fresh waffle cone, and so. Much. More.

There will be plenty of extras on offer too, including cheese fries, mac and cheese raclette, rainbow ice cream funnel cakes, roasted corn on the cob, fruit drinks, hot waffles, churros, blooming onions, and plenty more.

There will also be bubbling Ontario craft brews on deck, to help you wash down all that greasy goodness.
To keep the party going, the event will see live bands and DJs, dance performances, eating competitions, a marketplace, line dancing classes, giant retro games, and more.
General admission and parking for the event are both free, so no worries on paying just to get through the door.
Limited Weekend Fast Passes will be available for purchase (online only) for just $10. These tix allow bypass at the entry, and at all food and drink stations throughout the entire weekend.
Food and drink tokens will be available for purchase, sold in batches of four tokens for $5.

Entry into the festival will be on a first-come, first-serve basis until capacity is reached.
