Arcade bar with TTC station patties opening on January 9

Jan 7 2020, 9:29 pm

Two of life’s greatest comforts — Jamaican patties and arcade games — are coming together at this new Toronto bar.

FreePlay, opening up this week at 300 College Street, describes itself as a “retro themed bar” offering classic arcade games, console video games, a DJ booth with a dance floor, Giant Jenga, and VHS movies.

As if the active, hands-on entertainment wasn’t enough, the new spot is also boasting 20 beers on tap, Ontario craft brews, themed cocktails, a candy bar, and a slew snacks… including Fahmee Jamaican Patties. (You know, the ones you can get at Warden Station.)

Those, alongside mini Pogos, Mac and Cheese wedges, calamari, and soft pretzels, are only the tip of the iceberg.

The new spot is celebrating its grand opening on Thursday, January 9, from 7 pm until late. If you want to be a part of the party, you can grab your ticket online now for $10, or pay $15 entry at the door.
