Anyone parking on Toronto streets this Friday, Sunday, or Monday will have an extra-special Easter weekend thanks to free parking city-wide.
According to the Toronto Police, the Parking Enforcement Unit will not be enforcing a number of on-street parking bylaws on April 2, 4, and 5 including the enforcement of pay-and-display or metered areas, which means free street parking.
Toronto Police will also not be ticketing for parking in rush-hour routes or for parking where there are posted signs indicating Monday to Friday regulations.
All other areas and parking offences will continue to be enforced throughout the Easter long weekend.

Although free parking is always a nice bonus, especially in Toronto, where parking prices can get pretty high, with the province-wide shutdown going into effect on April 3, Torontonians are advised to stay at home as much as possible and only go out for necessities such as groceries, essential work, or exercise.
If you do go out, be sure to maintain physical distance and wear a mask.
