You can have a free "Coffee with a Cop" in Toronto this Tuesday

Feb 24 2020, 2:44 pm

This week, Toronto residents have the opportunity to enjoy a free cup of joe while meeting face-to-face with members of the Toronto Police Service.

From 1 to 4 pm on February 25, Coffee with a Cop will take place at Starbucks at 224 Wellington Street West.

Officers will be in attendance, ready to sit down with community members in an informal, neutral space to discuss community issues, build relationships, and — of course — drink the bean juice.

The event is intended to be a relaxed space where the floor will be open for discussions about issues community residents feel are important. And each attendee will get to enjoy one small hot cup of coffee, free of charge.

The Coffee with a Cop program intends to break down barriers and improve relationships between police officers and community members.

And everyone knows that while you don’t win friends with salad, coffee can get you pretty far.

For more information, you can directly contact Constable Mark Ferreira at 416-808-5276 or by email.
