Ontario Premier Doug Ford will join other Canadian premiers, for a news conference on Friday, ahead of the throne speech next week.
Ford will join Québec Premier François Legault, the incoming chair of the Council of the Federation, Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister, and Alberta Premier Jason Kenney.
When Ford last met with Legault they called on the federal government to provide more funding to provincial healthcare “to remedy longstanding underinvestment.”
Both of the provinces also agreed to press the federal government “for fair, flexible, sustainable funding” for other key priorities that support economic recovery, including infrastructure and transit.
The press conference will take place at 1 pm from Fairmont Château Laurier in Ottawa.
