Premier Doug Ford is set to provide an update on Ontario COVID-19 response as 30 regions in the province have returned to the colour-coded framework.
Last week, the premier extended the Stay at Home orders for Toronto and Peel Region until March 9—it was originally set to expire on February 22.
The request was made by Toronto and Peel’s top doctors who noted the COVID-19 variants of concern and small vaccination numbers as the reason to delay reopening.
Ford will be joined by Solicitor General Sylvia Jones and Jill Dunlop, Associate-Minister of Children and Women’s Issues to make an announcement on Monday afternoon.
The press briefing will take place at 2 pm from Queen’s Park.
