Premier Doug Ford is expected to make an announcement on the reopening plan for the province’s COVID-19 hotspots on Tuesday afternoon.

Ford will be joined by Christine Elliott, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health, Rod Phillips, Minister of Finance, and Dr. David Williams, Chief Medical Officer of Health.

On Monday, Ford said that the province’s health table would present the reopening plan for that afternoon.

“We want to review the plan with our cabinet,” Ford said and added, “Dr. Williams is putting the plan in front of us and again we’re in full communication with all the mayors of all the regions… We’ll be able to review what the health table has brought to us and we’ll make that decision very soon.”

The hotspots include Toronto, Peel, York Region, and Ottawa with their 28-day lockdown set to end on November 6.

The press briefing will be held at 1 pm in Queen’s Park.
