Ford to make an announcement with education minister today

Premier Doug Ford is set to make an announcement with the education minister on Monday afternoon.

Ford will be joined by Stephen Lecce, Health Minister Christine Elliot, and Finance Minister Rod Philips.

Ontario’s COVID-19 cases numbers have been increasing, with more than 200 cases reported over the last three days, right as schools begin classes again.

While schools are proceeding to reopen, Ford has said he will not hesitate to close them if there are too many cases in the province.

The press briefing will take place at 1 pm from Queen’s Park.
