Ford to make announcement on confronting the coronavirus pandemic

Premier Doug Ford is set to make an announcement on confronting the COVID-19 pandemic this Friday afternoon.

Ford will be joined by Christine Elliott, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health, and Vic Fedeli, Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade.

On Thursday, Ford said other jurisdictions might have to revert back to a modified Stage 2 like Toronto, Peel, and Ottawa, if people continue to travel outside of their hotspots.

“If the spread continues the answer is yes. Look we can’t police 14.5 million people. Everyone has followed for the most part. So please just follow the guidelines and people should be better off,” he said at the time.

The press briefing will take place at 1 pm from Queen’s Park.
