Summer in Toronto is moving by in the blink of an eye, but it’s not over yet, and these 10 upcoming food festivals are proof that the best is yet to come.

It’s all too easy to start mourning the end of summer before it’s actually over, and now that we’ve arrived at the end of July, that urge is only getting stronger. But Toronto still has a slew of fun food festivals lined up until the bitter end, so for now, your time would be better used devising your itinerary for the next two months.

Here are 10 tasty food festivals that are still coming up this summer in Toronto for you to get excited about:

AlohaFest

Mel Lastman Square is once again transforming into a little slice of paradise for this free, all-ages festival celebrating the varied and vibrant cultures of the Pacific Islands.

You’ll be able to sample eats from a variety of the GTA’s hottest Hawaiian, Polynesian, and Pacific Islander food vendors while watching live performances from the community and getting in the Aloha spirit among thousands of your new friends.

Indonesian Food Festival

Contrary to what its name may suggest, this festival is a celebration of every single aspect of Indonesian culture, not just the food. That said, you’re in for some droolworthy bites when you attend either way.

An entirely Halal selection of Indonesian staples will be on the menu at this festival, including Bakso, Gado-Gado, Sate Madura, Rujak Petis, and Asinan, among many others, all supplemented by non-stop live music and dance performances.

Canadian Multicultural Peruvian Fest

Simultaneously a celebration of Peruvian culture and Canada’s diversity at large, this food and culture festival might put a strong emphasis on Peruvian cuisine and arts, but you’ll be able to find a diverse array of eats during its two-day run.

You can expect a full suite of Peruvian favourites, including CevicheHuancaina-style Potatoes, and Causa Peruana at this vibrant festival.

Taste of India

This annual festival is the biggest of its kind in North America — and it’s not hard to understand why it draws such major crowds year after year.

True to its name, Taste of India will be home to dozens of regional, traditional and fusion food vendors showing off the best of Indian cuisine, while non-stop Bollywood-inspired dance performances and other forms of live entertainment keep the vibes alive all weekend long.

Jerkfest

Taking place just after the Toronto Caribbean Carnival wraps up for 2025, this ultimate celebration of the city’s Caribbean community will be absolutely overflowing with droolworthy jerk barbecue and island vibes.

If jerk isn’t your thing, you’ll still walk away well-fed, with no shortage of food vendors serving up scores of Caribbean classics from patties to plantains.

Taco Fest

You’ll be able to discover over 250 different varieties of tacos at the ninth annual installment of this epic taco festival, and in the end, the best taco in Toronto will ultimately be crowned and walk away with big-time bragging rights.

Despite the laser focus on Mexican cuisine, there’s more than just tacos on the menu at this festival, though. You’ll also be able to find local favourites like Burger Drops and Booyah Ice Cream among the stalls, just to spice things up.

Kalamansi Fest

An entire festival that revolves around a single fruit? Well, not exactly.

While yes, the inaugural Kalamansi Fest, taking place at Stackt Market this August, is a celebration of the titular Philippine lime, it’s more so a celebration of Filipino culture in its many shapes, colours and expressions.

At this collaboration between Kalamansi Collective and Barkada Mrkt, you’ll be able to taste test a slew of kalamansi-infused eats and beverages, take in Filipino arts and entertainment and spend a day celebrating the culture of the Philippines.

Brewed For You Fest

After a smashing success of an inaugural event, Great Lakes Brewery is bringing its celebration of Ontario-based breweries back for a single Saturday in August.

Learn more about home- and microbrewing, meet the people behind your favourite local lager (or IPA, or stout, or pilsner, ad infinitum) and indulge in some tasty eats and a frosty pint or two as this friendly, good-time beer festival makes its grand return.

Roncesvalles Polish Festival

Back for its 18th year, North America’s largest Polish festival is truly a sight to be seen, and it just so happens to take place along one of the coolest streets in the city.

Get your fill of pierogi, kielbasa and cabbage rolls while you pick the perfect polka partner and dance the day away at this massive celebration of Polish culture. Just prepare to walk away with major sausage breath, which, here, is a good thing.

Picklefest

If you can’t dill with the fact that summer is officially over, this food festival devoted entirely to pickles and the people who love them might just make you quit all your brine-ing.

Home picklers from across the city will put forward their best creations in hopes of winning ultimate home-pickler glory, while independent pickle businesses will sell their crunchy creations, and, if you’re feeling hungry or thirsty, there’ll be no shortage of pickle-infused snacks and sips on the menu to tide you over.

When: Saturday, Sept. 20 and Sunday, Sept. 21
