Passengers on flight from Montreal to Toronto possibly exposed to coronavirus

Passengers on a flight from Montreal to Toronto may have been exposed to COVID-19, according to the Government of Canada’s website.

The federal government regularly shares flights in which passengers may have been exposed to COVID-19 during recent travel.

The newly identified flight left from Montreal-Pierre Elliot Trudeau International Airport on July 10 and landed at Toronto Pearson International Airport. It’s Air Canada flight AC425, and the specific affected rows are “unknown.”

According to the Government of Canada, potential exposure information is collected through provincial, territorial, and international health authorities and public websites.

Travellers are reminded that they are to self-isolate for 14 days upon entry into Canada.

“This is mandatory, whether or not you have symptoms,” states the government.

On June 29, Air Canada said they would end physical distancing on flights and reintroduce meal service.

To date, in Toronto there have been a total of 15,037 cases with 13,377 recovered. And in Montreal, the total is 27,863 cases with 24,432 recovered.
