A fixer-upper home in Toronto is on the market for just under $900,000.

The three-bedroom, one-bathroom home located in the Junction at 538 Quebec Avenue is selling for $849,000.

At 1,547 square feet, this two-storey house is ready for some renovations and much more than a fresh coat of paint.

But the location is everything with this property, as it sits in the up-and-coming Junction district, close to shops and restaurants.

“The property is on a great little street in a trendy pocket of the Junction,” Lauren Haw, Broker of Record at Zoocasa, told Daily Hive in a statement.

“Due to the condition of the home, renovation costs will likely start at $500,000; however, the buyer should keep in mind that renovation costs have been rising recently due to supply chain issues for materials such as wood and tiles, and renovators are currently in high demand.”

Haw added that financing for the home “may also be tough because of the property’s condition.”

“The buyer of this house will have to be cash-heavy in order to finance the property and fund the renovations,” she noted.

But the home does offer some perks, like a backyard, giving needed outdoor space to the property.

It’s also semi-detached in on a quiet street in the neighbourhood.
