A server at Firkin On The Bay, a Toronto pub, has tested positive for COVID-19 over the weekend and they have temporarily closed their doors.

According to a statement released on September 23, one of the servers at the 68 Marine Parade Drive location has tested positive.

In the meantime, Firkin On The Bay has temporarily closed its location to ensure everyone’s safety, including sharing contact information with Toronto Public Health, as well as having all team members self-isolate and get tested to be sure of their health status before going to work.

“We are currently conducting a detailed deep clean of our pub. When we reopen, we plan to employ staff from other Firkin Pubs until we are certain that our On The Bay team members are able to safely work and safely look after our guests,” said the pub.

“We appreciate your patience and understanding during these difficult times and hope that you will join us in wishing our team member a speedy and full recovery.”

The employee had last worked on September 20, from 10:30 am to 6 pm.
