Looking for a worthy winter road trip?

Just two hours from Toronto, the Fire and Ice Festival will return to Downtown Bracebridge this year, and it just might be the perfect excuse to test out your snow tires.

The annual one-day-only event promises practically every essential cold weather activity all in one place.

The ‘Fire’ portion of the festival includes fire artists, in addition to cozy fire pits throughout the downtown core.

The ‘Ice’ aspect includes interactive ice displays, a downtown tube run, and a skating trail located in Memorial Park.

Taking place on the last Saturday in January, the massive winter carnival also bills fun family-friendly activities like axe throwing, Canadian Lumberjack demonstration, a polar rush obstacle course, a crokinole/curing tournament, outdoor crafts, a kids’ carnival fun zone, outdoor mini golf, outdoor curling, and more.
