There will be a lot of exchanges of masarap and salamat at Mississauga’s Seafood City next year.
The massive Filipino grocery store plans to open its first Canadian store at 800 Boyer Blvd in 2017. Offering Filipino products along with ready made food, this will be a one stop shop for longganisa, tocino, and of course, sweet treats from halo-halo to bibingka.

Seafood City is a California-based chain that opened in 1989 and has 23 stores across Southern and Northern California, Nevada, Washington State, and Hawaii. Earlier this week, they opened their first store in Chicago, further building the anticipation among the local Filipino community.
If there’s a reason to drive to the ‘Sauga, this will be it.
Or maybe a Jollibee in the Seafood City? We shall continue to dream.
