If you’re interested in getting tickets for next year’s FIFA World Cup, there’s now a new date to put into your calendar.

Information was released today on the first random draw window for next year’s tournament, with fans being able to put their name in starting Sept. 10 of this year.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming the world back to North America, as Canada, Mexico and the United States host what will be the biggest and greatest sporting event ever. We encourage fans everywhere to get ready to secure their place – these will be the most coveted seats in world sport,” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino in a release.

Potential buyers can go to FIFA’s website to register their interest in the draw, where they will be asked to either create an account or sign in with their previously existing one, and fill out a short form with basic contact information details.

Once Sept. 10 rolls around, fans will be asked to fill out a more comprehensive draw form.

If selected from the draw, you will be assigned a specific time slot to purchase tickets on a first-come, first-served basis.

Seven FIFA World Cup games are scheduled for Vancouver and six for Toronto next year. Vancouver will host matches from June 13 through July 7, while Toronto has matches from June 12 to July 7.

FIFA says that 6.5 million fans are expected to attend the tournament in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

Other ways to get FIFA World Cup tickets

Tickets will be released in phases, FIFA has said, with more details on each phase being released in the coming months after the initial draw begins in September.

“There will be several distinct ticket sales phases from the start of sales on Sept. 10, 2025, through to the final match on Sunday, July 19, 2026,” FIFA revealed in a press release. “Each phase may differ in purchasing processes, payment methods and ticket products.”

If you’re looking to shell out a little bit extra, hospitality packages are now available for non-Canada games in both Toronto and Vancouver. Packages start at $2,500 per person, per match.

Each host country also has a small allotment of tickets for each game.

Canada Soccer has revealed that it will hold a ticket allotment lottery with a weighted random draw. Fans can sign up through the CanadaRED fan club program, which will be the “exclusive platform for fans and supporters to access Canada Soccer’s FIFA World Cup 26™ ticket allotment lottery.”

Odds of success will be based on your CanadaRED tier — the higher the tier, the higher the chances of securing tickets.
