Canada Votes: Justin Trudeau’s Liberals projected to win

After a long day at the polls and a long night counting votes, Justin Trudeau’s Liberal Party is projected to form the next government.

While it is still too early to say whether it will be a minority or majority government at this point – as results from BC and the Yukon have are just being counted – the Liberals have currently taken 131 seats out of a possible 338, compared to Andrew Scheer and the Conservatives, who are currently sitting at 100 seats.

Here is the current seat count:

Liberals – 137
Conservatives – 97
NDP – 20
Bloc – 27
Greens – 1
PPC – 0
