How to celebrate a fierce foodie Father's Day in Toronto this year

Jun 16 2020, 8:50 pm

So, it’s official: you won’t be visiting a Toronto patio for Father’s Day this year.

But don’t be glum, chum! Despite the ongoing restrictions regarding restaurants, there are still plenty of ways you can get dad some fierce food for his special day, June 21.

Take a gander through the local spots below, which are all serving up something extra delicious for all the dads out there this weekend:

This year, you can bring home the bacon for dad from The Green Wood, regardless of whether you live on the east or west side of town. One mouthwatering option is the Piquillo Pepper Shakshuka Kit, which feeds two, for $28. Featuring eggs, feta, and sourdough, the kit comes with everything you need to assemble the dip-able brekky at home. On top of that, the spot’s whole brunch menu will be available to bring home, so you can go for BLTs, bagels with lox, a mezze platter, or anything that piques your fancy. You don’t want to miss this at-home tasting menu collab, launching this weekend. The chefs of Auberge du Pommier and Canoe restaurants are teaming up to offer a multi-course tasting menu for delivery or takeout. If this funky and fresh offering sounds like dad, place your order here — the goods will be coming out of the Auberge du Pommier kitchen (address below).

If the collab doesn’t quite hit home for you, Oliver & Bonacini is offering other mouthwatering meal kits, like Maison Selby French Onion Burgers, Striploin Steaks, and Surf and Turf, as well as fun cocktail kits — browsable here — in addition to their normal (!!) offerings including Miami Ribs and Octopus Tacos.
