Fashion Art Toronto, the city’s largest showcase of contemporary and experimental fashion and arts, hit Dundas East over the weekend.
The five-day multi-arts experience aims to inspire and intrigue you through runway shows, photography exhibits, art installations, live performances, and short films.
This annual multi-arts event, held every April, featured 200 Canadian and International fashion designers and artists, as it does each year, and welcomed over 5,000 guests.
Fashion Art Toronto provides a platform for emerging and alternative fashion talent in Canada. The exhibition was at the forefront of important and timely industry conversations, such as sustainability, the body-positive movement and the transformation of gender norms.
The event’s site said that you can “expect to be awed, entertained, and inspired,” and that’s what attendees experienced.
Here are some highlights from this year’s event.
